Roasted Pac Choi with Sesame Oil, Garlic Scapes, Ginger & Soy

 

Freshly Picked from the Garden, this recipe will always please!  If you are lucky on timing, harvest your scapes and use in lieu of Garlic.

 

Ingredients

3 Pac Choi Heads (Halved, Washed and Patted Dry

3 Tablespoons Fresh Ginger

½ Cup of Sesame Oil,

2 Garlic Scapes (finely cut) Substitute Garlic if necessary

1/3 Cup of Soy Sauce

1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds

Salt and Pepper to taste

 

Recipe

Preheat oven to 450 Degrees

On a Baking Sheet, put a layer of Aluminum Foil and Massage in Olive oil to coat the pan

In a bowl, mix all ingredients and let rest for at least ½ Hour

With a pastry brush, liberally spread the marinade mixture on both the leaves and heart of the Pac Choi Head

Roast in the oven for 12- 15 minutes (depending on oven temperature)

Remove and top with Sesame Seeds and serve immediately.
